Called for His Purpose
At Hope of Glory Christian Gathering, we are a Spirit-filled community committed to worship, the Word, and walking together in faith. Our doors are open to all who seek the transforming power of God's love.
Love
We are rooted in the unconditional love of Christ, extending grace and compassion to everyone who walks through our doors.
Truth
We are committed to the faithful teaching of God's Word, equipping believers with wisdom for every season of life.
Community
We believe in the power of authentic fellowship: sharing life together, bearing one another's burdens, and celebrating victories.
Purpose
We are called to discover and fulfill God's unique purpose for our lives, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Core Beliefs
The Bible
Scripture is God's authoritative Word and the ultimate standard for all matters of doctrine. In its original form, it is divinely inspired, without error, and completely trustworthy.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5
God
One God exists eternally in three distinct yet equal and co-eternal persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is known as the Trinity.
Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19
Jesus Christ
Jesus is God the Son, fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life, was born of a virgin, performed miracles, and died on the cross to pay for humanity's sin. He rose on the third day, ascended to the Father, and will one day return in glory.
John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:5-6; Isaiah 9:6
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He convicts people of sin, brings about new life, dwells within every believer, and guides them into truth, comforting, teaching, and giving spiritual gifts.
John 14; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14
Humanity
God created people in His own image as moral and spiritual beings. Through willful disobedience, humanity fell, and our only hope for restoration is found in Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:26-31; Genesis 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21
Salvation
Sin separated all people from God, leaving humanity without hope apart from divine intervention. Out of love, God sent Jesus, whose death and resurrection provide the only path to forgiveness and restored relationship with God. Salvation is entirely a gift, received through faith alone, never earned by good works or personal effort.
Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 9:22
Water Baptism
After placing faith in Jesus, believers are called to be baptized in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as an outward expression of their inward commitment.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16
The Lord's Supper
Communion is a sacred time of remembrance where believers partake of bread and grape juice, representing Christ's body and blood, honoring His sacrifice on the cross.
Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:23-25
The Church
The Church is not a building or an event, it is the worldwide community of born-again believers united under Jesus as Savior. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the Church exists to spread the Gospel and support one another through worship, prayer, biblical teaching, and fellowship.
Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 2:19-22
The Future
Jesus will physically and visibly return to earth at a time no one knows in advance. At that point, all people will face God's judgment. Those who rejected Him will be eternally separated from God. Those who trusted in Him will enter into eternal joy and blessing in His presence.
Matthew 24:30; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 20:12-15; Revelation 21:1-5
